Come discover. "Therapy with Luna is not your average therapy." - Belle
Hi! I'm Luna.
I'm glad you're here!
I recognize the courage it takes to seek a deeper, more loving connection with all parts of yourself, and I'm honored to support you. You may know the weight of childhood trauma, anxiety, people-pleasing, and overthinking that clouds the mind. These struggles are real and valid. Childhood trauma affects your sense of self, relationships, and your physical well-being, leaving you feeling overburdened.
Healing requires courage, curiosity, and a willingness to care for all parts of yourself. I will go deep with you, holding you with care, compassion, and a spirit of play and humor.
I've had the privilege of helping many beautiful souls break free from the weight of trauma and thrive. I see myself not just as a therapist but as a co-creator with you on your path. My deepest calling is to reduce suffering and help you reconnect with your essence of light.
Creativity has been my companion since I can remember. Growing up in a big, loving Mexican familia, I learned early that resilience, creativity, and community are woven together. As a little girl I was climbing trees at age three, my mom once couldn't find me at a neighbor's house, only to discover I'd found my way into one of their trees. From around age six, and honestly right up until today, I've been drawing, making playlists, dancing, doing theatre, taking photos, and spending years as a professional musician.
I took a winding path to find my calling. I went to law school. I spent a decade as a video producer creating educational content. I knew I was drawn toward something meaningful, but couldn't quite name it until I found expressive arts therapy. The moment I discovered that program, I knew I was home.
Here's something I don't always say out loud: even with all that creative history, I spent years not claiming to be an artist. I know what it feels like to create and express and still hold back from owning that part of yourself fully.
That's part of what I bring to this work. I don't just use creativity as a tool for healing, though I know, deeply, that it is. I also invite clients to claim their creative selves, maybe for the first time. Because trauma has a way of silencing that part of us. And reclaiming it is its own kind of coming home.

As a LatinX trauma expert with 15 years in the field, expressive arts therapy is at the heart of everything I do. In my day-to-day life I find joy in making art, tending to my plants, volunteering at my local botanical garden, and walking my dogs, there's nothing quite like a happy dog running in the sun. I love getting silly with my husband and connecting with friends and family. These moments of creativity, nature, and connection fuel my spirit and keep me grounded.
Healing is not a solo endeavor. It's a co-creation, a dance between two people exploring the depths of the human experience.
I approach your healing as a shared journey. Together we can dance, co-create, and uncover the inherent wisdom that has always been within you. Our connection can be a catalyst for your return home to yourself.
I work with clients in person at my San Pablo and Lafayette offices, and via telehealth throughout California. I offer bilingual therapy in English and Spanish, and am the creator of the Holistic Trauma Healing Card Deck, a bilingual therapeutic tool used by clinicians and organizations across California.
With so much love and care, Luna
